We know from experience that most successful companies begin with an entrepreneur, a technology and an idea. Specifically, we look for entrepreneurs whose companies have the potential to achieve a market capitalization of more than $50 million in five years.

Prometheus favors early-stage companies that have the potential to be attractive to potential Fortune 1000 partners looking for strategic investments to grow their core businesses. 

Prometheus participation will vary depending upon the stage of development of the technology, the company, the management team, the capital required, and potential appreciation.

The major criteria to be used in considering opportunities include:

1. core management/CTO with previous operating experience in the targeted industry, strong self motivation, a sense of urgency, and a long-term commitment to the business;

2. significant and growing markets for the company's specific products or services, which provide an opportunity for growth to substantial size in revenues and market cap;

3. distinctive technology with a high degree of innovation or a good, proprietary position to give the company a competitive edge;

4. reasonable valuation of the company at the time of participation which creates the opportunity to earn a substantial return on investment;

5. investments in the range of $500,000 to $2,000,000.
